Scottish Grasses

Each small tussock of grasses has its own individual character, unique to the part of Scotland where it grows.  Alison takes her original drawings of these clusters and, using drawing and painting techniques with a wide mix of materials, creates images many times larger than life size.  The tension between intricate detail and sweeping forms of the grasses invoke the wind and the weather of Scotland.
